Hey,does anyone have experience with one? Can't find too much about it. How does it sail. Would one truly consider ocean passages with it. One thing is the side decks looks wide. Making the cabin top look rather slim. I'm going to try and look at one over the weekend but what should I look out for?
Assume you have googled Swanson 36 yacht review and found such links as below as well as many others. Yes ocean passages was what it was designed for. The side decks are not wide they are that width for easy traversing forward and aft on deck. The cabin is not slim - you are not going to be standing below out under the side decks of any yacht. Look out for all the normal issues with a 2nd hand yacht.

Earlier ones are generally better as later sold as bare mouldings and finished off by owner builders.
Notable ones include Breakaway, Jisuma, Bacardi
Even these generally had ply side decks with GRP coach house.
Chainplate attachments should be looked at carefully.
