Does anybody have a recommendation for a surveyor at Lake Macquarie? Any suggestions on where best to haul-out the boat for inspection prior to completion of the deal?
I have a list from the selling broker, but want to make sure I am getting independent advice.
One of these fellows should be able to do it?

For slipping Marmong Point Marina

Thanks r13. Rob's Marine was on the list I was given, but not Ross Naylor. How about Marks Point Marina for slipping?
Ok good. Sorry I don't have any experience or knowledge of Marks Pt Marina's services and operations. Both marinas have reviews on line.
I had my boat surveyed at Marmong Pt Marina recently by David Burn from Safe Haven Marine & was extremely happy with him. He is very thorough, knows his business & reasonably priced.
Safe Haven Marine is actually in Port Stephens at Oyster Cove but he will come to Marmong Point.
Marks Point can only pull out smaller boats - they put your boat in a cradle & pull you out on the rails so they have limited space. Reasonably priced but no good for deep draft. I had a previous bout slipped there. Marmong can lift just about anything with their travel lift & have plenty of room on the hard to store you. They are also reasonably priced but do get booked out in peak periods. I slip my 45'er here every 18mths or so. Easy to deal with know what they are doing.
If you need a hand let me know.
Thanks Lazzz. Good feedback. All booked up with Marmong Point now and they seemed pretty good on the phone.
Hopefully she surveys OK and I can close on the deal.
Had my new boat surveyed at Marmong last Wednesday and put back in the water Friday after working my ass off on it. Very happy with the place and the antifouling at the on site Ship Chandler is cheaper than Whitworths contrary to what I would have expected:-)
