I've been a bit quiet of late but you are all my friends and so I share the sad news of the passing of my Missus. She had battled head and neck cancer for two years, A massive operation and weeks of radiation therapy we thought we had it beaten, but it came back and was unstoppable. She slipped away in her sleep yesterday morning.
As most of you know we bought the boat together, learned to sail it together, maintained it together and polished and painted it together. She was one in a million God Bless her. R.I.P. my lovely.
I'm sorry this has happened to you, Sam, especially at this time. Grieve, of course, but carry on as she would want you to.
Go sailing. She'll be there in the wind's embrace and the sea's gentle rocking.
Good luck and all the best,
Kinora

Such sad news Sam. I had often enjoyed reading your contributions to this forum and one of the things that made them stand out was the great partnership you had with your wife and the shared passion for sailing and your yacht. There is nothing easy about saying farewell to someone so special. It hurts and it doesn't feel fair. Just know that in time the hurt will ease and you will be left with your precious memories. I know you won't be in that place yet but it's important to know that it doesn't feel this bad forever. Hang in their, lean on those close to you when you need them. When you are ready take the boat out again and reflect on the wonderful times you had aboard together. Take care
Matt
