Hi everybody, I'm in the process of trying to sell my yacht, I had a potential purchaser employ someone to look at the rigging. The outcome was very interesting, and I requested a copy of the report which he agreed to provide me but to date has not what action can I take in order to get a copy of this report. Regards, William.

You could pay for your own report

Or offer to pay him half of what it cost him. It's not good however and you are selling the boat why would you want it? Let the next potential purchaser do their own survey.

Nothing. A promise is not a contract. A promise needs consideration (something in exchange) to become a contract.
As Jules says, either you pay for half of it, or you don't bother. It is a given (it is assumed) that any rigging over 10 years old needs to be replaced anyway.
