Hi my offer has just been accepted on a 10.5m jarkan and id like to get a survey done and im looking for a recommended surveyor.
Sorry if this has come up before but i cant find anything in the search bar for any surveyors in south east Queensland.

This fellow covers a wide territory in NSW (up to Coffs) and Vic so may be interested in your job. I don't know anything about his work - he was going to do a pre-survey of a yacht I recently sold but the owner decided not needed. His website looks good and gives a lot of detail about his background and typical yachts he has surveyed, as well as costs. Obviously websites are a guide only................I would expect he would do a competent job on the Jarkan at a fair price.

A bit of digging found this bloke in Brisbane (Wynnum/Manly) - again I have no knowledge of his services or anything. Again his website looks good. I note that during the search of lot of commercial marine surveyors came up as you presumably found also - not many doing yachts also.

Meant to say your intending insurance broker / company should have a list of yacht surveyors they accept. Suggest ask them to give you a few in your area. Tend to spoil your day to send a survey report to your insurer and it comes bouncing back as not accepted as the surveyor is not on their approved listing.
