On the hull of my boat there is a stripe that was painted on using two pack paint. I've tried a heat gun, razor blade, and acetone. None of which work. I've read up on a caramel wheel but seems it's only for decals. Does anyone know of another method for removal apart from sanding?

It may take a bit of elbow grease, but thinners will remove 2 pack, but you need to be careful as it will remove or damage most if not all paint..

Is the stripe definitely 2 pack and not gel coat integral to the layup?

Thanks Mike and Jolene, I'll try thinners and don't mind if it removes all the paint as I want to repaint the sides. It's not gelcoat.
