3rd annual platform marathon

Notice of Race
Venue/Date
Port Bouvard Yacht Club invites sailors of under 6.8m catamarans to sail in the 3rd annual platform marathon down the Peel/ Harvey inlet on Sunday 13th February.

Rules
The race will be governed by the ISAF Racing Rules Of Sailing.

Eligibility
The race is open to all catamarans under 6.8m (and some monohulls)

Entries
Entries will be accepted on the morning of the race and will close a half hour before racing begins.
A registration fee of ten dollars for each entrant are non refundable and are to be paid upon entry.

Schedule of Race
Race start will be between 130 and 230 wind permitting

Sailing Instructions
Will be made available upon entry and will be finalised during race debrief aprox half hour before race start

Prizes
Will be for line honors winner, vyc handicap winner and pennants for 2nd and 3rd positions.

Food And Drinks will be available from pbyc canteen and will host a sausage sizzle from 12pm

BIG THANKYOU to all the guys and girls who made it down to PBYC for the platform race, all the H16s from Nedlands YC as well as all the f18s supported by the 2 Windrush Edge boats, C2 Capricorn, Nacra f17, Hobie 17, Hobie tiger and Nacra 5.8. 21 boats on the start line, bit of a wait for the seabreeze to kick in and it was on.

Overall winners were
First and Fastest, Windrush Edge sailed by Brett Burvill and Ryan Duffield
Handicap Winners 1st H16 Gavin Colby and Lance Wood
2nd H16 Darren Smith and crew
3rd H16 Cam Owen and crew

Will do it all again next year. Cheers

Hey Jason

Awesome regatta and ball tearing fast once that breeze kicked in. You've got a great little club down there. Bevan was saying there's a heap of photo's being uploaded. Any ideas??

yeah mate the website is horseplayphotos.smugmug.com they arent on there yet but i would think they wouldnt be too far away. I have a heap of pics from before the race with all the boats set up and taking off from the beach actually i uploaded some on the hobie aus social network site.

Ha i was there didn't sail that day (training for worlds) but i normally sail a signet hey where there nice cheap little boat
