I've just updated the Australian Vector Charts (2023) from o-charts in my OpenCPN (V5.8.4) and noticed that there is no detail for the Gippsland Lakes west of Fraser Island. My old brain seems to recall the previous chart version showed the detail that is now missing. I have tried reinstalling both OpenCPN and the charts but got the same result.

Has anybody else encountered this problrm?

Cheers,
Kinora

Go to the options box - charts first and check your settings.

Thanks, Ramona. I've exhausted the options, as far as I can tell. I'll remove everything, reinstall again and if the problem persists, I'll contact o-charts.

I finally got my legacy Raymarine Seatalk 1 network to talk to my laptop with Open CPN yesterday afternoon and I have a similar problem, Moreton Bay has details but south of Russell Island and North of Crab Island at the Southport Seaway has no detail, I assume its one chart that is not working. Tried updating via o-charts?

Re installing is probably just taking you back to the default settings. The info is most likely embedded in the charts but you have not accessed them correctly in the options/chart section. My mate had this problem and he just needed a little guidance. In his case he had no depths indicated.
