old school!! This is my father and uncle back in the day. They built this boat in the early 40s.

Early 40's??? When were the first ali rigs. A couple of twelve meters had ali rigs in the early days.

1981 Hobart . My trimmer/cook the morning after celebrations. I use cook loosely ,instant noodles, instant noodles, cold boiled rice.

Actually looks like the delivery back looking at it now.
Almost 20 years later the bloke driving would be lifted off the sinking Midnight Special.

Also imagine having 7 people for a yacht race delivery these days!

A slower world and great comradeship back then although must admit really enjoying solo sailing on my little boat these days. Just been kicked off daughters pontoon so leased a wet berth at Horizon Shores. Now 6m boat looks too small in 12 metre pen, damn ,perhaps something a bit bigger if it comes along.

Scary one now!
On a triple spreader fractional rig.
As Peter Mounsey reminded me once, he had never heard of anyone complaining the storm sails were too small.
