Obviously, PFDs are not compulsory for crossing the bar in France.

They're not compulsory when crossing a bar in Queensland either. Unless you're in a 4.8m or under open boat or are 12 years old or under.
Not a judgement, just sayin...

I like this one too.
Guy is either certifiable or it's his home port. He either timed that beautifully (look where the run starts) or he has the luck of Job.

I found out in my Equipment Auditors re-accreditation the other night that we're not calling them PFD's anymore, it's back to Lifejackets again.

It's taken me this long to STOP calling them lifejackets and they go and change the names again!
