Today, after 175 days, Tasman 26 was back in action. The feeling when Tasman is heeling 20 degrees and flies around is priceless. YSE8 works like a baby. 5 knots with an extremely dirty hull which indicates 6.5 knots after antifoul is done.. Finally reliable and cool boat ready for summer! Temp of the engine after one hour of working was 40 degrees..

Happy days my dear Tigers!

Look at this YSE8 (the beast) is cold just like my mother in law!

Well done right there take the rest of the day off. Your diesel should and will be running at more than 40deg under load - see here. 50-60degC is apparently in your manual. If your MIL is that temp in the photo need to get her into your hospital real quick.............

46 was the working temp but the photo was taken just before I left the boat (it takes time to cover the boat, played with radio, collected all tools, worked on my keel wings design project cleaned the bottom of the boat etc. having horrible back pain so went very slow today)

i think the beast is ok!
