The locals around the Manning River are getting up a petition to get the training walls to the Manning River entrance complete.

This has been in the planning for 140 years!

What is needed is 10,000 signatures and they have to be in writing on the attached form and posted in by snail mail.
The reason this is not electronic, is that way requires 20,000 signature to go to the NSW Parliament.

If we can get this done we will have a whole new river cruising ground to explore. So please take the time to do this and add a note that you are a cruising yachty and are looking forward to entering the river.

I'd like more information?

is this regarding the walls at Harrington or the other southern mouth?
The manning opens to the sea in two places.

Sailing the manning is a delight. Taree once boosted a excellent river festival and a excellent sail club.

If I understood more of what I'm supporting I may be very keen to join it!

The manning is a awesome river in sail on!

Hi, I wish you well, however I reckon madame and her merry band are only interested in infrastructure that is either cash positive or saleable, she once described their approach as toll mania.

This is about the missing southern wall at Harrington and a small boat entrance to the south at Farquhar Inlet.

No-one can sail into the Manning River at this moment, its been some 40 plus years since that was even probably possible.
No cruisers visit the Manning except the very rare trailer sailor.

They are talking about the other entrance as well but I think the Southern wall at Harrington would be done first.
