Greetings All,
nice to be out sailing now, I plan on hauling out at Marmong Point again this year just before Xmas, I can never figure the lake tides versus the Swansea Chanel, I draw 1.95m and wonder if the local brains can help?
I plan to do some lake cruising once back in the water, so happy to meet up on the water if any locals are around?
cheers Richard

I'll be up for a catch up, are you on your own or have family with you?

As far as entering the channel I like to plan a bridge opening 2 to 3 hours after the high tide, in or out.

With your draft you'll need a good tide. There's some good tides at the beginning of December or maybe 19th - 22nd Dec will be enough!!

I haven't been out in a while so I can't comment on the channel - I would give Marine Rescue LM a ring/email for the latest but it hasn't been dredged so it won't be good.

The only real problem spot is the "dog leg" which builds up. Pic taken 19th Oct this year

Hi Lazzz

i got up there last year and the area you showed was the trouble spot last time! Around the 19th could work, that I think coincides with the lift out timing?
yeah I'll be solo mostly. Maybe some family latter after the hard work is completed?
Thanks for the advice on tides, the bar was fine last time but not looking to fight the tide through the bridge with 29hp!
be good to say hello!
cheers Mate
