Several months ago I applied to join the KCC but no response. Then again after a few weeks but still no response. A couple of weeks ago I sent an email through their website but have heard nothing. Can anyone shed some light on how I can join?
thanks

Are you planning to head up there? I am a member but not that regular on their site. We are heading up for our first trip winter next year in a 28 foot trailer sailer intending to be out for three months.

What craft are you using? We have a heavily equipped 28 foot cruising oriented trailer sailer Imexus 28. I suspect we will get there in late May and be pulling out end of August.

At about 5 foot 5 draft versus our 1 foot draft we might be targeting some different locations!
We love drying out and do so frequently so might be generally in closer than you guys.

Yep! Nice high sides and crocs prefer launching at you from the water not crawling up the mud or sand to try to attack you!
Our Imexus 28 actually has higher cockpit sides than many conventional yachts and smaller powerboats.

That's ok, our different boats all have limitations in different ways!

Where are those pics taken, Grith? Looks lovely (although I have very little interest in going anywhere with crocs).

Hi Chris Boat Port Lindeman Island Whitsundays. No Crocs!
We have just spent over 8 weeks cruising around the Whitsundays including going out to the Outer Reef and are on our way back to South Australia now.
Free camp at Leap Pub between Prosapine and Mackay.

Keep trying, it took us a while last year to join. Lots of good information on their forum.
Also look up Darwin Sailing club they used to have a link that had a lot of useful information by Dennis Ford (?)
