When bored I spend my time looking at the various yacht sale sites and I was mildly amazed to see a second of my previous boats had been sold in/at Lake Macquarie over the last four years considering both were sold by me in Melbourne in the late 70's and mid 80's. Never been there .Whats the attraction?
Largest coastal salt water lake in Aust. Twice as big as Sydney Harbour without the diabolical traffic. Safe flat water sailing, numerous top clubs at Belmont, Toronto, Wangi etc, and now that the Swansea channel is being dredged the problems with it will hopefully reduce. Good fishing. Great surf beaches,
