Help!
I accidentally put Sta-bil 360 petrol additive into 60 litres of diesel (thankfully in jerries not the tank).
Can't find any information Googling the consequences. Hoping someone can tell me whether it's a huge problem?
Thanks in advance

Carefully formulated to extract funds from wallets. Ethanol does not cause corrosion, methanol does. Not sure what the difference is between the snake oils added to petrol versus diesel except the colour. As long as it's not water I can't see a problem. It might raise the flash point by a tiny amount.

A character I drove a truck for accidentally put about 20l of petrol in a 200l diesel tank, he told me what he had done and instructed me to be cautious and nurse it till we refueled it, that old truck went like a rocket for a week, I was always tempted to drop a bit of high octane in the mix after that but didn't. Truck was still going years latter. Modern common rail engines may not cope so well tho

In the old says the truckies wisdom said, diesel will tolerate 1:5 mix of petrol, while petrol engines will not tolerate diesel! At all.
Few liter diesel in a full tank will not harm the motor but it will not like it. It'll run like a hairy goat.

As far as additives are concerned, yeah, snake oil......Ramona is right.
