Thumbs Up

betterboating.vic.gov.au/news/public-berthing-trial/

This is news to me, the blighters have kept it pretty damned quiet. Parks Vic are getting marina owners at Sandringham, Geelong and Wyndham Harbour to provide free public access for 24 hour berths as a trial throughout this summer.

The outcome will no doubt be assessed on a use-it-or-lose-it basis. So all us on PPB need to use this facility as much as possible get the stats up, to encourage future provision of some form of berthing. I guess PV's agenda is about avoiding the cost of providing berthing capability on public jetties, several of which are closed and/or at the end of their life. No access if you don't have insurance though.

Cheers, Graeme
