I have been looking for a Calorifier that would not cost alot and that was built to last. I found Surejust in the UK make an all copper calrifier complete with a NRV, 4Bar PRV and mixer valve and fittings. It comes with a 230v 1000 watt Immersion Heater.
I paid $823 for the 30l Surecal Calorifier and Expansion Tank, that included $57 shipping.
It arrived in just 5 days. Purchased through Heatso UK. I avoided PayPal as they wanted to slug me an extra $33 for currency transfer. No GST or Import Duty as under 1K.
Surecal Calorifiers are very well regarded in the UK, the last a long time if the PRV and Expansion Tank are maintained, no ferrous metals so an anode is not required.

Probably a dumb question but I am assuming that you use a freshwater feed from the motor rather than saltwater? Unfortunately my engine uses only salt water for cooling.

Yes. I doubt a salt water cooled engine would get it hot enough. You could email Surejust to check with them. Before i replaced my engine i used a Companion Aqua Cube. It was in the cockpit and plumbed to the boats hot water pipes to supply the galley and heads. Worked well pumping from a 20L drum with its own pump.

Pretty sure you are liable for GST, the $1,000 rule no longer applies
Thats what i thought about the GST. As i wasnt charged the GST when i paid Heatso I contacted the ABF and told them what happened. The showed me their website link that said it was exempt. The GST applys to Ebay, AliExpress on smaller mail sized parcels. Not on larger boxed items under 1K when the GST is not charged at point of sale. A bit of a double standard hey!

ok, assume Heatso must be under the $75k threshold and do not need to be registered (or no nothing about Oz tax requirements!). ABF don't care as it is under $1k. Did'nt know this, you learn something every day :)
