Hi there

Does anyone have any information or experience with these boats. I believe they were designed by Nick Louis and built in Qld.
Build quality?
Sailing ability?

Thanks

Getaway Sailing used to have a 39 - never seemed especially quick but always got there.

Nick built them, not sure he designed them.

You can always call Nick, he is still trades under Challenger Marine.

There was one for sale in Tassie a
few years ago that looked very nice. There is another in the Port Adelaide Sailing Club that is being done up. apparently some were made in Goolwa. I tried tracking down the maker some time ago but couldn't find him.

This website indicates Nick designed them.

Just spoke with Nick he did design them, last 2 39's were built in Malaysia where the molds are now.

The ad I'm looking at only mentions balsa cored deck.

Make sure you check it out, even if its dry, it will affect re-sale price. A lot of the other detailed agent listings mention balsa core below the water line.
