The navigational marine height of the new Grafton bridge is 9.1 metres. If possible I would like to motor under this bridge.
I have not been able to determine the height of my mast above sea level on my Davidson 32 (Spindrift).
I believe it should be close to the Cavalier 32 height.
I would appreciate some help. Thankyou.

the new bridge is next to the old one and you will not get under that. stay on the down river side and watch out for for the power lines. nice river to explore though.

Specs on the Davidson 29 from sailboatdata

With an 'I' measurement of 12.95m for the 29, i suspect that might be a no for you .
Air draft on my 30' is 13.2m, but i carry less SA than the above 29.
Hope it helps.

I suspected as much. My daughter lives along the river about 500 metres past the bridge.
It feels like I will be having a few paddles on the Clarence. Maybe use my dinghy and motor. A few options.
You've helped me out and thanks for putting me onto sailboat data.com

That's quite a skill and balls too.

For a while there I thought you meant the new Harwood bridge - that is 30 m high. I drove over it a couple of weeks ago and almost got vertigo looking for boats. (I am not always the best driver over bridges - "Is that an interesting boat over there?")

we have been in iluka for the last 6 months...been up and down the river half a dozen times during that time

recently visited onboard a very nice lagoon cat in iluka. he is too tall to get under the new bridge

we had some delight in extolling the joys to had if he had a smaller boat, but he declined to swap...

cheers,
