You would think a place like Fiji would be a world of freedom, but it seems they are back dooring us out of a lifestyle we love.
You would be amazed how many more levels they have Before you are allowed to sail out to the reefs.

if you look up sailing NV on YouTube you can listen to the local who explains he has just done 12 months so can now leave the harbour.
as a matter of interest sailing NV is about turning an open 60 into a fast cruiser.

Youtube thumbnails with headlines designed fore grabbing attention that in no way indicate what the content is are somewhat tiresome.
Not saying sailing NV is any better or worse but the whole sailing on Youtube money thing is all a bit sad.
I guess the reality of cruising where virtually nothing ever happens makes it difficult to make videos. Footage of old white guys lying around in the sun cracking tubes at 11-00am isn't exciting viewing.
Got to make up the drama.......
There are exceptions of course. I can't remember the name of the vessel but they were sailing down the West coast of Oz and damn thats impressive coastline in places. makes you wonder why everyone lives on this side really? (east)

For Queensland you can sail most of the coast in day sailing hops. That makes a big difference.
