I want to order some service bits for the Beta but the Bukh boys aren't answering the phone, any one know why.
Seems to be a common theme particularly with boating based products. Businesses are doing so well that they are flat out fulfilling orders let alone taking new ones. Extremely irritating. The boat warehouse in Belrose is the same and I have been dealt with pretty rudely by staff at Whitworths when I asked if they have something over the phone. They ask you the product number and couldn't be bothered going down to even check whether it is on the shelf in that particular store.
I hear what you're saying Jules, but there's nothing surer to piss me off than when I'm actually in a store being served and the person serving me goes away to answer the phone in the middle of the transaction...

So is the engine a Beta now or a Bukh? If it's a Beta, Facebook has a very active group.

Yes Ramona, the engine is a 14hp Beta. I've never had trouble raising anyone at Taren Point in the past so i wondered if something had changed.

Just buy your service bits from Supercheap or Autopro.
OK thanks for the replies. I finally talked to someone there, a young fella named Lawson who apparently is Glenn's nephew. Anyway it's all sorted although no explanation as to why the phones were not answered for a while.
