Break/Enter Vessel and Damage Vessel Incident

A few days ago a sailing vessel moored in the lower Lane Cover River was broken into. Near to, but not in Woodford Bay. There was damage to the companionway entry and gouges on the transom suspected to be from an aluminium dinghy.
I know we have a few members moored in that area and surrounding waters, so a friendly reminder to make sure you as locked up and as secure as you can be.
If you are unfortunate to be a victim of this low act, please report it to the police, even if you don't want action taken. The reports help police identify crime trends and where to allocate resources.

Boating Non Emergencies - use the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.

Been there done that, police weren't really interested and thereafter I installed a Trek transponder system and have reaped the numerous benefits since.
