Definitely a Dunco. Which one is the big question. My bid is an aft cockpit 37

Duncanson 37 aft cockpit

All it says is a 11m yacht no model . Could it be the duncanson 35? Or even a Duncanson 34? What are the differences? I have no idea and I bow to your knowledge of sailing Lydia

Cabin moulds from 3/4 tonnes used as part of the 37 deck
run aft is too straight for a 34 or 35
unless it is a very late 35 hull with a 3/4 toner deck mould
34 and 35 are early 1970s design

It's a Dunc 37 aft cockpit.

There's two boats popularly known as Duncanson 34s. The real one is a C 1972 John Duncanson design that was later modified into the Duncanson 35. They both look similar but the 35 has a more distorted stern and may have more beam. I think the "real" 34/35 hull was the basis for the 37.

The other boat normally called the Duncanson 34 is actually the Duncanson 3/4 tonner. An Allen Blackburne design from about 1974, it is normally flush decked, with a slightly narrower stern, rudder further aft, and finer lines forward. Basically it was more of an IOR racer than the 34 and 35. The 37 has a modified version of the 3/4's deck mouldings.

I've been aboard this boat in recent times to view it. It's owner unfortunately passed and it's been sitting without any caretaker looking after it for a fair while.

It's at Gunamatta right? That background and boat look familiar

That's right Lenn - I went to look at 'Alona II' when it was on fb marketplace.
