Hello,
I saw people looking for replacement alternator for Yanmar 2QM15 diesel marine engines. I replaced mine some time ago using a Mitsubishi RXA205 12V 50A unit. It needed a minor mod to one mount - either drill out or insert a bush. It was a while ago and I don't recall exactly, but it was minor.

The starter motor has been harder to replace the S114-230 I need.

Hi there
Mine is gone too on Yanmar yse 8. Tried to put bigger mitsubishi alternator and I just found out this:
According to Yanmar, it takes approximately 1 HP to produce 25 AH of alternator current. At the theoretical "fill load" of a 125 AH alternator, that's about 5 hp out a practical 8 hp Yanmar yse8 diesel.
Mine is 35Ah and this bigger one made my engine very weak. I think you should stick with the same amperage and the rest is not a problem (small adjustment here and there).

Take care.

Send a message to this crowd on eBay. They have a range of starter motors for marine Yanmars.

Uk eBay have the exact starter motors but the postage is severe!
