BATTENS....
Do you run in a landyacht sail, stiff or soft battens?
then do you run them tight forcing shape into the sail or do you run them loose to allow the shape that is cut into the sail do its thing?
Hopefully this might create some interest!!!!

i do all of the above! you really have to vary it sail by sail. th sailboard sails ive been recutting have been quite an eye opener for me. as yacht hve got taller sailbooards havent, possibly limited by masts? but they do make good use of twist in the wingto give stability?
i do find that 1 set of battens for 1 sail and play with that

AFAIK battens are usually adjustable and can be loosened or tightened depending on wind conditions to shape the sail accordingly. Then of course there are some (probably most) landsailers who use the 'set and forget' setting. Self included.
