Hello folks, im new to this board although i have visited many times. Just wanted to say hi. I have been into landsailing for about six years. I build my own out of e-bay stuff and scraps. We have a great location for landsailing here in the desert southwest at a town called Playas NM. its a huge dry lake bed although it is privite land and we only use it once a year for a big event in April. Check out my lousy video on "youtube" do a search...playas nm land sailing. its a low key event with sail what you brung as the rule. well...anyway, i hope to learn and share about this sport as you all do.

HI Coopart,
Welcome Downunder, you appear to be having a ball there, its a fair looking mob of machines being used and i presume a lot are home built, All free thinkers, that goes good for the landyachts, plenty of interpretation. It would be nice to see some close ups, of you and your mates toys from your association over the years. enjoy the wind ...cheers ..... joe

Hi Tony.
I had a wind flyer for some time, I loved to sail it but the drawback there were no others to compete with,it is the fastest yacht that I have had and they handle really well, it is a fun project to build. all the info and patterns are on the web pages below.
Cheers

Yes the second video is mine, And im not really sure how he trims out, he is kind of a loaner at our event and camps away from the party. but he does FLY!! and the white boat in my video does too, he has exceeded 70pmh in that cool little home built. I keep forgetting this is an international crowd and forgot to mention i live in the U.S. in the state of New Mexico. well its getting closer to sailing season so im getting excited!
