Submitted with apologies. How about a long, rear tiller steered two wheeler to fit the 5.6 rope rule. Fitted with trapeze lines for balance - a land based Laser look-alike in fact!! (leather pants necessary of course)...wok

How about something like this.........

Rear steering is NOT stable. There are several videos out there of people being thrown off rear steerers.

Wow, what a ripper there Gizmo. Where do you dig these photos up from? That one could almost be converted into a Laser!

Do the experiment and see what you come up with and let us know about it.

In the meantime I will cruise my LLF Mini at 60 to 80 ks. Haven't done it for a while due to the tyranny of distance, family and unfinished projects.

Unbending family members is the worst of it.

love the exhaust system on that boat! I've heard sailing a stern steerer is like driving a fork lift at 60 mph. See 1:16 for the dreaded flicker-

interesting machine. 5 stays when we build with none!.
the biggest problem I see is the times when the slap down happens so quick you dont even get time to react.
on this yacht you would shoot out the back , presumably missing the stays. same thought would apply to a long 2 wheeler. at least on water you can watch the waves and see the gust coming
