I have put this here so everybody sees it.

I saw these advertised in the back of the latest "Cruising Helmsman" magazine.

This is the machine I have had for 2 1/2 years and fitted with the "Sairite Monster hand crank wheel".
It will straight stitch through 12 layers of vinyl tarp and zig zag through 6 layers. (Very slowly to give the needle bar time to shift from side to side)

Through say 6 layers of sail cloth it will zig zag 5mm wide, at 400 stitches a minute.

Most of the components are "Singer"

Here is where mine came from. (a few other guys here have dealt with Albert and bought 3 of the same machines)
I payed for it on the Wednesday night and it was in Perth by the Friday morning by DHL freight. That was the killer $275 freight.

Item No Description Unit Price (when I bought mine), this is the company that builds them for "Sailrite"

1 2000U-33W Currency: USD
SEMI INDUSTRIAL WALKING-FOOT ZIGZAG SEWING MACHINE $300.00
110V / 220V (HEAD+MOTOR+CONTROLLER+CARRYING
HANDLE+EXTENSION TABLE+PVC BASE)

2 DEVICE CRANK HAND WHEEL $75.00

3 DEVICE WOODEN CARRYING CASE $95.00

Skywork Innovation Co., Ltd. (Taiwan)
E-mail Address: ac_csc@hotmail.com ; skywork.albert@gmail.com

I'm very happy with mine.
There probably has been a price increase, so this would be a great deal cisco.

My machine is fitted with a "Sailrite monster wheel" which is pinned with a pozidrive instead of the supplied wave washer clutch. I should have got the big hand crank wheel, when I first purchased it, as it halves the machines speed.

Hi Chook,

Since you bought your machine, I've picked up the contract to import Albert's machines into Australia, under the Strongarm brand. I'm glad you're happy with it!

One thing we have done is re-designed and earthed the electrics to meet Australian standards. You might want to check that your machine is earthed (three pin plug and earth from the motor) as the overseas models were originally built for 110volt and were unearthed. We have the earthed foot controllers if you want one.

And Landyacht, I pick up your comment about needle costs. We're looking at importing them in bulk to bring the cost down.

Cheers,

Ben

Hey thanks for that Ben and yes you have a great product there.

I will get it checked out on it's electric side, as our eldest son is an electrician. (bout time he paid his way.)

Cheers.
