Duffer!!! I've never stole a cow in me whole life.

I am just amazed at how those Ludics with the fat tyres go over those grassy dunes in that video. The blokarts sort of do it if they are wound up but those Ludics do it like they are little tractors.

Diablo might be as fast on the flat but with 1 1/2 " ground clearance it won't do those sorts of tricks.

Speaking of which, Diablo's mast, boom and tackle are almost complete. Just waiting for pay day to buy the sheet and a couple of pulley blocks.
I have applied the downhaul and pulled the boom down by hand and the flex in the mast is pulling the belly out of the sail quite nicely. It didn't seem to do that with the alloy mast at Yeppoon. Maybe it was a little TOO stiff.
If the fibre glass joiner sleeves in the mast hold up I think the whole set up will be quite successful. As tomorrow is pay day and the weather map indicates some decent wind by Sunday I will hopefully have some photos to post on Monday.
This mast and boom has chewed up two of the three masts I got at the dump. So for the present I am going to leave the last one in one piece and will probably give it an alloy boom. It should travel OK on the car roof with one of those soft rack/tie downs. So Nappy Rush has a mast too.

Sail is a little way off as yet. Cheers Cisco
