Good on you blokes...we are getting a bit of breeze behind us now,

keep contributing. What i am noticing is that people were at it as a fun thing,

different from the hard cores individual competition that seems to be the go

now. could be the clue to revitalizing...build bigger, include your friends.

This mob look as good as the 18foot skiffs

edit.. Oh yep Thanks to Klaus Kramer.de for this one

note the individuality of all the builders. Most anything will provide a lot of

FUN..and it could quite probably work well

"The Buckjumper"', my name for it, deserves another slot here. Gizmo has

identified the rider, maybe he would bring some of the other shots into this

thread. We can all experience the action, its wild and its big, big, big.

The "Jolly Green Giant" was so named because of the size and color and was a lovely comfortable yacht to sail. I have found that most BIG yachts have a lot more flex in the chassis and often have suspension.
The pictures were taken at Port Gawler and published by the Adelaide Advertiser newspaper to promote the sport in SA.
Early days of the sport possibly has a poor photographic record as sand, salt and water aren't good for cameras. I have only a few pictures which have been on the various threads on seabreeze.

Now there's a figure head ! .....can't do that on a BC or LLM

There is a lot of oldies, who go for the rear single wheel steering, is it to

hard for our modern designers, would have to be as effective as on a boat??

Rear steering is too effective, you would turn rather fast like on a forklift and like a forklift , turning at speed you tend to tip over or lose traction and slide.
