Bastards could have shown a bit more footage of the kite buggy.

Paul, any chance you could ask them for some of the un edited footage?

I was out at a fire meeting last night, so thanks for that guys.

Nice work Paul, Lyndon and Wayne!!!!!!

I had a BBC film crew here in Esperance last Sunday.
I put 3 bottles of gas through the yachts pulse jet for them, to take some sound readings for a doco, they are here to film and will air in July.

They had to move back 50 mtrs, as the sound was interfering with their cameras recordings.
The first start trashed their sound meter which could read up to 200 db. It wasn't anywhere near that loud, just that the shockwaves shut it down. But it did record that the jet was idling at 243 Hz, before the meter switched off.
They were gobsmacked at the noise levels.[}:)]

sorry sylk, they explained that the gap between the buggy and the kite gave a rather odd image when filmed from a chopper. it all looked rather remote and disconnected on film
sorry

that was great....the more times i watched the more i recieved. You have done Lake Lefroy a great favour, and i think landyahting in general, you have given it a kick [big] along. Lets hope we can all help to keep it moving forward

edit ....i can hear backyard workshops cranking up a notch or two.
and Chook.....your effort is appreciated too, looking forward to seeing it

Landyacht, I reckon they didn't want to admit how close the freak driving the chopper got to my kite. There were a couple of times there when I turned away while the chopper showed no sign of moving.

Anyways it was a good fun day and the final edit looked grate for the landyachts, well done.

OK! Paul you 'n' your mates realy are Swine.. Fancy doing that to the Cute Blond!! Swine. I have tasted the salt at the Blowholes (North of Perth) and that was quite salty enough.. Mind you I tend to agree with other thoughts on the matter"if that doesn't give Landsailing a shot in the arm then Australians have no heart..

Adelaide's first Mini Maker Faire is coming soon and we want you!

A family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement.

What is a Mini Maker Faire?
A Maker Faire is where makers of all kinds get together and show what they can do. Adelaide Mini Maker Faire will have all kinds of demonstrations from 3D printing to blacksmithing and knitting to digital fabrication and everything in between.

Maker Faires feature innovation and experimentation across the spectrum of science, engineering, art, performance and craft.

Maker Faire is part of a growing DIY local and global movement of people who look at things a little differently and who just might spark the next generation of scientists, engineers and makers.

What is a Maker?
Makers work in their sheds, backyards, on their kitchen tables, in workshops and
clubs, blending old DIY craft and trade skills and hobbies with the new world of digital manufacturing and robotic.

Makers share their knowledge and skills they gain at events such as Maker Faires. They want to get other people excited about making and tinkering.

Maker Faire is free, it's hand on and we want you to be part of it!

How can I be part of Adelaide Mini Maker Faire?
If you are a maker come and be part of a great day. Maker registrations close on Friday February 22nd [N.B. Deadline extended!].

If you would like to be part of the team that makes the Mini Maker Faire

I have done the Maker's Fair the last 2 years here in Indiana, is definitely a good place to exhibit some landyachts. Creative atmosphere, creative people, open minds, etc...
