A recent post got me thinking.
Would(wood) it be possible to build a landyacht out of nothing but wood or natural fibre products?
Everything out of wood or natural fibre:- axles, wheels, sails(sheet ply?), we already make seats out of wood, mast, boom, pulleys, blocks.
Just a thought eh

Chook, What do you want with Welding Rods?

All things are possible! But for Perpetual Motion. Let us be more precise over this build; Is this for Natural Timber or is Manufactured Wood included?

Certain Woods would also be able to be pulped and turned into Rope, then again there is Hemp or Coyer. Is there a set distance or time for this machine to work without failing??

Sorry Giz', but I don't think that is quite right. Read TP1's post again. All wood Steering Axles the lot. "nothing but wood" Hell of a challenge but plausable.

All Timber?

Does that mean the only pilot would be Pinocchio?

I've seen a clock made entirely from timber, it worked of sorts, however it took a lot of maintenance to keep it going.

Bloody Smart Ass you are Grynch,

Bloke over in NSW makes them from wood but uses Brass Bush's and Steel Shafts. The rest is wood and look wonderful but to own one you either need to win the lottery or have a few grand to chuck about.

Love it TP1.
That would be a CIG (Commonwealth Industrial Gases) product to supliment their Satin craft line of electrodes. Ha ha

By the way they are first class rods (satin craft) but attract moisture easily.
To pass xray, this is what should be used on galvanized pipe. Even when the galv is removed there is still some contamination within the weld with the zinc fumes creating hydrogen gas. The flux on these rods minimizes this.

End of lesson................

By the way isn't that photo of "Spectum" a ripper? What a work of art.
