perhaps what we mean is that we were rather busy raising families and stuff.
keeping in mind that landsailors are a bunch of tight*rses wherever they come from, the ease we had in just buying wheels from a shop cheap has to be a major factor. plus seeing landyachting fade away in places like NZ with friends there blaming the cost of wheels and fancy bodies.
The past experiments we have done havent been that successful, and Vics recent breakthrough of using bike rims inside the wheel body has just lifted the cloud of mystery on the whole process.add the availability of off the shelf tyres and we all start getting enthused again
