OK, It's been a while, and yes i've been slack. But I'm still here, and have been trying to keep up with what's going on.

Essentially i'm Here:

Starting to look like something.

Essentially i've got to finish off the seat, sort out the steering, find some rigging, and of course do somethin about some back wheels...and find somewhere to play!

Just thought i should share the progress, and head off any issues you guy's might spot before i hurl myself down a beach!

Quick question;
I'm currently sorting out some wheels, however it seems as though tyres and tubes have gotten dearer recently, $30 a tyre and tube set. Is this right? Are there better prices around? they were $20 only 4 months ago!

I can't add to the exiting thread anymore, (yes I've been that slack!) so the original thread was here if interested;

You are nearly there brother. Just get yourself a pair of Fallshaw wheels for the back and you will be up and running.

The big ones in the pic are the ones you want (8" dia rim x 4" wide) which should cost you less than $50 each with tyre and tube.

Check them out here and find out where your local distributor is.

Yeah, starting to get exited!

The quote i got was $53 + GST when supplied complete with 6204 bearings. However in the meat time i was given a set of the forbidden Chinese rims, I've got some 6204 bearings fairly cheaply, and i got the facilities at work to make up some ali bushes to adapt them to the rims. So i figure if i just get tyres and tubes for them to start with jsut to get rolling. Also the tyres adn bearings will be Usefull still once i upgrade to fallshaws. We'll see!

often the big discount hardware chains will havehave really poor quality tyres at 25 and tubes at 20.this makes a fallshaw at 60 worth it.
I can only recommend shopping around.
do you have a Mullins Wheels in Queensland?

yeah, that's where i got the $30 tube and tyre price. It was $20 when i first looked in February. I have actuall set some 6204 bearings in to the cheap rims given to me, and the do run quite smooth. They are a bit rough, and I will most likely upgrade to the fallshaws in the near future, but they should get me rolling for now.
