This took some time but finally finished a mini after 4 or 5 half finished minis.

First sail at the clay pan did 60km/h but was terrified about minimal foot protecting and rolling off the seat from the G-Forces.

Only broke 1 weld, cracked the fibreglass seat (sorry Paul) I must be getting heavy.

I would like to thank Paul for his help and inspiration and his excellent sail lofting.

Barn (sevrne sails) for his support and other people on Seabreeze and my yacht club Lake Lefroy Land Sailing Club.

First Sail was with my Telecom 5mm main sheet was a bit ordinary, I chaffed my down hall sheet but all fixed.

For testing sent dad out in my Production Blokart. He couldn't catch me but took me 6 laps to catch him after I gave him a windward leg.

Dad cracked the base of my blokart mast. I have bad luck with the glass blokart masts (kinked 3rd section and cracked bottom) but thanks to Bryan at Kalgoorlie blokarts for his excdllent product support.

I am looking foward to the marathon at the end of the month and the worlds next year.

2nd Test @ Lake Lefroy 10/9/13

New seat on the mini.

We forget the blokart sail so quickly rigged my 4m mini sail, tent pole for a boom and used my spare hardware to get the 'Blomini' going.

After testing found the mast on the Mini Severnve 430RDM has a lot of twist. I ripped both eyelets from the foot of the sail from dad says 'excessive' downhaul but I like a loose leech.

The 4.0m I bought from Paul performed better than expected on my glass blokart mast. It had a wonderful shape.

Make It. Break It. Make It Stronger.

Ben Boulder.

Ben,
It is a while since I've been on the forum. However to my eye I would say that Wild Winds Sail should be recut to PAuls PAttern and it would be perfect. Perkaps a little more angle on the boon and you'd go lie a Cut Cat.

The ponds are not as harsh on tyres as Walyungup surface.

that wild winds is a paul day cut just some fine tuning. will be really great in a light wind with some soft fronted battens. but the other sail will be a warranty claim
