Hi Guys.
I am doing some research before starting on a blokart using a 14ft windsurfer sail, and the beaches where I can use the kart have slightly softer sand than I would prefer, without traveling more than 2 hrs to an ideal location.
I have found some wheels, produced by www.wheeleez.com in the states, which seem to have very little resistance to roll, particularly for soft sand. Has anyone come across these and/or attempted to use them with any level of success? or can anyone see a problem that would suggest these wheels be a waste of money, and recommend something more suitable.
Thank you.

Well said Cisco, ive seen a few guys try to modify there blokarts with bigger sails etc, doens't work even made there kart go slower,
I to recon blokart have got it right and made a fantastic machine that performs extremely well, it's all about the wind and where you sail.

in the 4wding world we just let most of the air out of the tyres, but then again we have a bit more power to play with

Try using 2nd hand tyres from Light Aircraft like Cessna type planes ...used them years ago seemed good on soft sand of the Coorong.
They might be hard to get but have a chat at your local small plane aerodrome you might get lucky......

the best ones are dunlops. they are lighter and then you strip lots of rubber off with an electric plane and they work even better

Come on Paul. You're starting to sound like old Kiwi mate with the "World's Fastest Indian".

He put a bit of ART into his tyres using a shoe maker's knife. You don't get your coffee water from Lake Le Froy do you??

an electric plane does it in seconds. with practice you can get quite precise with it.
Lefroy water will dissolve an aluminium billy or pot if you let it sit.

Your spot on Cisco,no good in the performance stakes, raced against a guy from Ballarat who used those tyres very heavy and slow.

that sailing gear is getting a bit old. lots of breather holes at the back. as it wrinkles Ifill the pouches up.
Its really comfy to sail in though and you wear a layer underneath if its a bit cold.
Perhaps I was the only person in the know , because at Rada Tilly they all started out sailing in drysuits and changed over to shorts and Tshirts. I just sailed in the Zoot Suit.
cheers Ziggy

I was going to wear the silver one but I lent it to a friend a few years ago and she went and ran 200m in it and completely stretched it!
I buy themfrom diving shops . they wear them under wet suits, and in warmer waters as stinger suits. you get about 10 years out of a good quality one.
and lots of gropes from the wives at competitions

They had a superman one in the shop but I got a sense of "6year old in his favourite pyjamas"
I would rather like one with a Tux printed on it. straight off the lake and into the pub without changing.
