From the IBRA committee......

"We are pleased to announce the hosts for the 2014 edition of the blokart World Championships.

The Australian blokart Association in conjunction with the Perth blokart Club will be hosting two regattas in January 2014 on the following dates;

The Australian National Titles - Saturday 18 January 2014 to Tuesday 21 January 204

The 2014 blokart World Championships - Wednesday 22 January 2014 to Monday 27 January 2014

Both regattas will be held at the Lake Walyungup venue, a dry lake bed located 40km south of the city of Perth, that has a sailable area of approximately 200,000 square meters.

We look forward to a great event in just under 14 months time"

Thanks for that Paul, as a good mate spanning back over 30 years I'm only going to offer this once because there will be a heap of people wanting to rent borrow or steal a Blokart for the 2014 worlds, I paid $400 US to hire my kart for the worlds in Ivanpah but my demo kart is at your disposal for nix if you wish to enter, it is set up for performance the same as my kart so let me know what you want to do.

These sunshirts are available through Perth blokart Club for a short time only. They must be pre ordered through PBC before 30-11-2013. Sizing chart available. They are $60 each.

This is the preliminary proof for our CQBC shirts- a few small changes to do.
We are looking for early orders to have these done by Christmas, ready for the Blokart World Championships. Pm me for sizing chart if interested. This is a limited production run and additional orders require a minimum of 10 at a time. Interested Mackay members can check their sizing at Uniform Solutions, cnr Sydney & Alfred Sts, opposite the Fire Station.

I thought the same and asked the organizers. I am advised that all the papers and media outlets were provided with a media release. Unfortunately it seems that except for the local papers the event is not sufficiently newsworthy.
