Augusta mate ..Ive been there on a westerly and it wasnt that good .It will be a north westerly and I can imagine the wind will come over the hill through the town being gusty as and with wierd wind shadows..It works better on a southerly..worth a shot though let me know how you go.Just south of margeret river main break is gnarabup beach there is wind blown flat water there.Make sure you go with someone as there are unpredictale rips and strong currents.
Thanks guys, i will try to go to dunsborough on sunday afternoon, because i want to visit Margaret River with my girlfriend, this is our first time there. If someone want to come we can enjoy the wind together.
Augusta on Southerly , south easterly and easterly .. Check out the Leeuwin lighthouse on seabreeze for current reading ... Best flat water in WA on its day .. Which is normally Dec - March .... I have only gone to Garnup beach on a westerly and it was really good fun and a bit of flat water protection near the outer reef ... But yep a bit dicey re currents etc. So don't go alone .. Dounsbough on the easterly fun but a bit choppy.... V enjoyable and pretty safe as long as its not off shore.
