Just registered here to try to thank the guys who helped me today at Mullaloo beach with self rescuing and getting my board back.
By the time I had arrived at the beach with my kite and was done untangling the lines they were gone.

In my short time kitesurfing in Perth I've seen a lot of camaraderie amongst kitesurfers and this experience has made learning this sport much more enjoyable!

Thanks guys!

From what I have seen it is nothing like the Surfing mentality
Kitesurfers seem to like to help newbies (sometimes) or keep away from them.
Half the reason i gave up surfing many years ago was due to the "My wave My spot" mentality a lot of surfers have (something I have not yet seen in kitesurfing and hope i never do)

Good on all you kitesurfers I hope it will always be this way.
