There was a guy at city beach north groyne today on a 10m ozone, black harness,red rip curl boardies at about 3pm who thought it was a good idea to slalom between swimmers for about 20 mins riding a surfboard. Looked to be in his mid 30s. I mentioned to him that it might be best to kite further down the beach away from swimmers. He persisted coming within meters of swimmers, eventually leaving, looked like there was a photographer who had a word with him as well from the beach.

poor form, if this is your mate let him know. I couldnt find any rules on the WAKSA site regarding distance to swimmers? Not that this guy had a tag.

This is happening way too often.

We need someone that patrols the beaches and car parks frequented by kite surfers to police this type of behavior.

This would almost require someone like superman to be able to be in all locations, deal with the flack but still be persuasive enough to convince people like the RED RIP CURL BOARDIES GUY that if you continue this behavior you could risk losing the beach access kite surfers currently have.

As you were carrying on like a pork chop I decided to flat out ignore you as there was plenty of fun to be had close in.. last time I checked going to the beach was free..... Nobody kick out kids on lids or foamies when they are looking for waves close to shore.. So if I want to mow the lawn and give the punters a show and splash from time to time then so be it man.
The photographer got some good shots BTW!!!
