My GoPro managed to snap someone wrapping there lines around the Pylon @ St Kilda tonight... Sorry if this was you :S I never have my GoPro on the bar like this was just testing. (It sucks)

Disclaimer - I did stop for 30 seconds to make sure the individual was OK/Semi in control but not much I could do so bailed :)

Kinda looks like a new move, but they were on the way out so they are getting flung

Wrapped.

Brilliant shot! Looks like Jesus took up kitesurfing.

Nearly ended up on the same pylon during oneof my first solo sessions, you think "I can pass it upwind" and then a gust pulls you of your edge due to extreme poo-stancing...bang!

It's not a rule, but it should be. Never pass within two line lengths of anything hard downwind of you that can catch your kite, snag your lines, or damage you.

The sea is big. If there's something/somebody scary/unpleasant/ugly near you then turn around and go somewhere else.

Gorgo - exactly!
The thing is that it's very tempting for beginners when they just got past the walk of shame and don't want to lose ground by passing downwind. And it happens frequently on this pylon, just check out the bits of line still hanging there.
