Is anyone going out ? Just saw a spike from 25knot base to 45 knots with a 52 knot gust. Hate to be in the air at the time.

I was just about to go to Brighton but the last look at the graphs put me off, at the moment its blowing 45 gusting to 51 knots its too much for my smallest kite - 8m, but definetly going to St Kilda at 12, just must stuff myself with some more food

HAd a decent session at Frankston ( Bottom of Olivers Hill ) first time ever there as it is always 10knots less than the rest of the bay. Had about 2hours of 25knots + not bad with a few 2nd and third lift boosts which are always nerve racking.

There were a few out at Ricketts point, a few at hampton, brighton and st Kilda.

Was out at St kilda from 1-4pm yesterday seemed to be hovering around the 27-30 knot mark but very gusty. Great for this time of year and great fun.

Some dude was on a 12. Did not seem to be struggling either. I could not understand as I am heavy and would have struggled on my 12 (i was on a 9).

At one stage when the rain came it got up real high and was a little hairy. Seabreeze only recorded it as 35-36 gusts (felt higher though but it always does).

Saffer, really stupid question but is Ricketts Point, Hampton and Brighton good on a Westerly. Only ever kited St k on a westerly (probably because I am lazy).

Avoid Ricketts but Hampton and Brighton are great if you can master the waves and typically gusty westerly...

Had a great session at Hampton; wind was around 30 knots Westerly. It was tough getting out through the shorebreak but once out it was good. Lots of steep waves, some breaking a long way out! Some photos and a video on my blog post for my session: www.peterskiteboarding.com/2010/04/hamptton-in-victory-at-sea-conditions.html
