This Sunday October 31st, Kite Republic will be hosting an all-inclusive downwinder (group commute in the water) from Brighton Beach to St. Kilda West Beach.
This activity will be uniting and activating all the water based sports currently operating along the Port Phillip bay, stimulating community involvement and promoting healthy lifestyles. The downwinder will be open, free to join and will feature:
* Kiteboarding,
* Stand-up Paddle Boarding,
* Kayaking and
* Street Stand-up Paddle Boarding.

Currently the Port Phillip is home to an array of different water sports. Kite Republic sees the benefit in having a dynamic community, where all are welcome to participate in activities that promote health, well-being, and love of nature. This is why they have organized for all the water sports operators in the Port Phillip bay to join and ride together and welcome the summer St. Kilda style!

Kite Republicâ's all-inclusive downwinder celebrates community involvement and love for the outdoors with this colourful event which will light up Port Phillip bay like it never has before!

Be There!

Even though you don't sell windsurfing gear you could've invited them eh?

What's "street" stand up paddleboarding? Do you have to say "'sup y'all" every few seconds? Or do you have to wear bling and a sideways hat?

This is a great idea, I'm a big supporter. The forums are so full of insult and angst and agitation, it will be great for all sports and action lovers to get together in the real world and at least remember we all do it for the fun and enjoyment.
The promo statements make this nicely clear in fun and friendly language. The exclusion of windsurfing (which presumably you don't stock and sell) reduces this to the same petty attitude. C'mon KR, grow up! Invite the poleys!! They are people too!! They dont overcrowd spots and tangle into each other!! They are kind of retro and harmless!! C'mon let em join!!! Why widen the rift????

or at least call it "All-Sports (we are interested in) downwinder"

haha, good point guys. Should have had another "windsurfers" and "all modes of transport" label. Everyone is totally welcome, it's an open for all event. There are a number of local businesses that are getting behind it and activating their sports. We absolutely welcome all modes of water or foreshore users to join in and would love to hear from other clubs or local businesses that would like to get involved.

Looking forward to a great day!

Why, those shaky weights look good for building some serious size..
Maybe they will cause a similar hype than Kettlebells.
