It can get quite crowded at Inverloch for kitesurfing.
At lower tides there is less room for kitesurfing as the channel gets narrow when sandbars appear.
The easterly combines with an outgoing tide to reduce the apparent wind for the kite, making it harder to get up and going.
There are swimmers about along the channel edge and in the water too.
Kites, boards and people in the water go out towards the ocean, making self rescue a bit difficult.
In short, these factors combine to make Inverloch less than ideal for beginners, but still fine for experienced kiters.
Better conditions for beginners here are incoming and higher tide, south westerly or southerly (though this combination also reduces apparent wind) and less crowded.
