Hey fellas saw a couple of kites up at stanley's east inlet yesterday. Looked cold with sw winds. If it was anyone on here, how deep was it over where u were? Will have to meet some of yas next time.

Me, Wilson and Townie were the culprits.
East Inlet we normally kite in a nor-easter. There are narrow channels between the sandbars making it a brilliant flat water spot. The channels are quite deep, but you get the occassional nasty surprise and shave a few mm off your fins.
We've only just started kiting this place in a southerly. Much gustier than hellfire, and don't even try to launch your kite until you've walked a fair way from the beach access - the wind in close is holier than a swiss cheese. When we came back in, both the other guys had their kites fall out of the air and had to swim in. I got lucky and rode a gust all the way to shore, but was waiting to be lofted over the punters in their kayaks
