On Sat there was some heated words between the some Kite & Sailboard rider as a regular Sailboarder I want to call for some calm out on the bank at Wello not saying who was at fault but there is no need for people wanting to have fights its just silly stuff if you think your a tuffy go sail else were please. Most of the regular crews all get on well just now & then some new ones show up & show off come close to other sailors showing off or whatever this is not on as its not safe some of you might think its ok but if you or one of us get hit by a rig you could be injured for the rest of our life this is not something we anyone want. Please while you have sailboards amongst you while your kiting keep I eye at all times behind you & around you as we are doing speed runs especially down the speed strip as we are hitting speeds up to 40kts. Don't take me wrong as I don't hate Kiters I have got many friends down there Saiboard & Kiters we do get along & I am happy to talk about this down the beach any time as most of you all know me well.

I agree with Glynn in the call for calm.

Most of the time everyone gets on well, it usually it blows to hell when it gets crowded and everyone is fighting for their clean run.

Some of the issues that cause tempers to fray are:

1/ 40 knots is a hell of a speed and you cover ground very quickly and it is hard to judge
2/ My eyesight and especially my hearing is on the way out. sometimes the first l know of it is when someone comes screaming past
3/ When the sailboarders park in our landing zones. l really get the ****s.
4/ Cowboys with a death wish, not restricted to sailboarders

EVERYONE has a right to use the water but respect and safety should be of paramount importance.

As a kiter who has been taken out by a sailboarder in 30+ knots of wind, l don't want to be hit again.
