dredging up years of bauxite, cobalt, coal and god knows what other sediment that has blown off the docks and into the channel.. It's not a surprise the three eyed fish are showing up. Bowen's turn next, all that awesome reef just 10 miles off shore will be brown as a freshly baked turd. But yeah, agree with dafunk, no way I'd go near that ****.
Gladstone is fine to kite/swim etc. Per RedclffRoss's recommendations......Tannum Sands is good from a SSE to N in all tides, Canoe Point is great from an ESE to N from over 1/2 tide. There are often people walking along both beaches so just be careful with your launch/land.......the crew there is always ready to lend a hand for both. Enjoy.....
