Sorry to hijack the thread. But I’m interested in good landboarding spots around Adelaide. I read somewhere before that Pt Parham is quite the tidal beach which sounds pretty good. In what conditions would it be good to go there? Are there things to think of so I don’t piss off the locals (where to set up, and not to fly and stuff like that)?
Cheers
hi jazz.
pazza is sweet for landboarding, until the tide comes in. if you got there around 3, you can take advantage of the low tide for a couple of hours.
a high tide forecast around 1.2m-1.5 should still give you room to landboard.
few things to remember.
1. check the prohibited area sign before rigging up. youll find it next to the boat ramp near the toilet block carpark. the defense force test missiles and bombs in that area during the week. its rare but they could have the area in front of the township as a test zone.
2. dont block the foreshore with cars, allow access for the jinkers, (tractors on stilts that launch the boats.). keep boat ramp free.
3. after you finish your sesh, support the local sports club by grabbing a schnitzel or some chips, or just grab a beer. the locals will appreciate the support, as the club needs it...
have a sweet safe flatwater sesh
cheers guys
