Hi, I am after some idears on which small kite has the most bottom end grunt.
I currently ride a 7m helix on a 132 drop mostly in the waves and a little in flat water. I have had used a number of different brands over the years and my last kite was a 7m warroo. I thought the warroo had slightly better bottom end. I liked both kites and can get out kiting from 15 knots on, but enjoy 20 to 25 knots the most. At 15 knots have to work the kite heaps.
I know I am asking a tough question but would appreciate some feedback.

See if you can get a demo on a Core Combat GT 7M, they are one of the gruntiest kites around.
Another option would be an 8M Ozone 2009 Light XC, very grunty design, low bar pressure and excellent, tight turning, balance and drift for waves.
Where in Oz are you based and how much do you weigh?

This is a great all round high wind kite. Perfect for super high jumps and kite loops. Good bar feedback for a small kite and medium/fast speed across the wind window.

This size ALIBI excels in the waves. It is recommended for riders who use surf boards and only want 1 kite for the waves.

It will work with your TT for sure.

Don't let the light bar pressure fool you the kite has amazing grunt and a great range.

if you were happy with your Helix and waroo but just a want a bit extra grunt then the 7m Bandit Dos fits the bill. the reports are that the Bandit 111 has shed some bottom end grunt which at any rate will bring it back to the Helix and Waroo.
so maybe the 8m Bandit 111.

As vishy said above, the 7m Airush Flow gets the go down low.

I have an 08 (it actually used to be vishy's in previous day) and I can (only) just get going in about 16-17kts with a 132cm board and 74kg of meat. Its bottom end is probably only about 2-3 knots more than my 10m I reckon. Bit trickier in waves however, i usually need at least 20 to get around properly.

I've been out on my 7m when others have had 11s and 12s out (when i accidentally left my big kite at home).

Speaking of which, I might go fly her now...

I have not flown them all but one thing I do know is the 7m GT has heaps of grunt. It’s certainly worth a look?

I have no affiliation with Core and my 7m Core combat gt has heaps of grunt. It's my first 7m and am amazed at the power and fun level.

Sure is a tough question.... ^^^
because there is no unit-of-grunt for rating kite pull.
Grunt measurement is not printed on the leading edges of kites yet.
Kites aren't rated by horsepower...
only by coolness, graphix, colour and whorespower.
If you could test say 3 different 7m kites in an afternoon...
back to back, using the same board in the same weather conditions....
at the end of the day you could probably identify the grunty-est of the trio.
But that would leave you 30 other brands to test-fly.
I look for fat dudes who fly small kites and are ripping.
That's a good indication of gruntiness.
But maybe their technique is good,
maybe they are good kite-flyers,
maybe the kite is grunty,
maybe it's a bit of both.
